Keep your Air Conditioning working when its HOT out!

We may live in Wisconsin but that does not mean that it can’t get HOT here. Lately we have had some pretty high temperatures, and likely there will be more before summer is over. We know you want your AC to work its best for you on those hot days, so here are some great tips:

1. Don’t Precool – Your AC works better when you car is actually driving
2. Go Low – If you set your temperature higher you are forcing the system to re-heat the cooled air which takes more effort
3. Don’t Recirculate – If you have backseat passengers the air can get hot and stale back there
4. Turn off Stop/Start – Auto stop/start will not only turn off your car, but also your AC
5. Make sure your filter is clean – A dirty air filter prevents optimal air flow
6. Set Auto Climate Control and forget it – lowering the temp doesn’t make the car cool off faster
